Examples of copper and molybdenum recovered from tungsten tailings

Ganzhou non-ferrous metal smelter Wu Jing election workshop was built in 1954 and put into production, mainly dry magnetic separation, gravity lifting of scheelite lift float, flotation and electrostatic separation processing tungsten ore and southern Jiangxi province's small and medium sized hole people production of crude tungsten, tin concentrate, middlings, design capacity of 30t / d, recovering tungsten, tin, molybdenum, bismuth, copper, five kinds of metal. In the production process for several decades, a large amount of tailings are discharged into the tailings dam every day. The tailings still contain a variety of useful metal minerals. In order to make full use of the mineral resources and realize the recycling of the old tailings, select The workshop carried out research on the comprehensive recovery of useful metals such as copper, tungsten and silver from the tailings of the tailings dam and achieved success in production practice.
Tailings main metallic minerals chalcopyrite, chalcocite, bismuthinite, wolframite, scheelite, molybdenite, pyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite and other non-metallic minerals are quartz, Calcite , mica , fluorite, etc., the tailings contain more mud, and the mineral surface is slightly oxidized. The intermetallic minerals are continuous and floatable, black tungsten and cassiterite, quartz, and precious metal silver are associated with minerals such as lead, antimony and other sulfur. The copper mineral is mainly chalcopyrite, which is dense and partially dissociated. The tail mineral material has a particle size of -0.043 mm + 0.010 mm, and the useful mineral is substantially dissociated. The material has a bulk density of 1.8 g/cm 3 and a density of 2.76 g/cm 3 . The results of multi-element analysis of tailings are shown in Table 1, and the results of material screening are shown in Table 2. It can be seen from Table 2 that the particle size characteristics of the minerals are more fine-grained, of which -0.104mm+0.074mm accounts for 49.92%, and the useful metals such as tungsten trioxide and copper account for 55.41% and 56.08%, respectively. Arsenic , iron, sulfur and antimony are high and similar to copper minerals, so that the flotation copper grade is difficult to be enriched.

On the basis of small-scale experiments and industrial tests, determine the production process of tailings re-election (see Figure 1). After the tailings are degreased and decontaminated, they enter the graded grinding. The flotation uses a coarse and two sweeps to obtain copper. Concentrate, flotation tailings, discard quartz and other gangue through a shaker, and then pass the weak magnetic iron removal and then send the wet strong magnetic separator to select the black tungsten fine mud concentrate and the white tungsten sillimanite ore, black tungsten fine mud to send The factory's tungsten water smelting workshop produces APT and copper concentrate for export.

The process conditions in the production process are shown in Table 3, and the production indicators are shown in Table 4.
It was found from the statistical financial statements that from July 1994 to July 1996, a total of 56.2 tons of copper metal, 47.6 tons of tungsten fine metal, 292 kg of silver, value of 1,383,200 yuan, and a profit of 529,600 yuan were recovered.
