In 2002, Ji Mingdong and his partners began to engage in the transport of dangerous goods. They mainly transported dangerous chemical products such as hydrogen peroxide from Longquan to Nanping and Sanming in Fujian, with a distance of 300 kilometers and 470 kilometers respectively. Ji Mingdong identified several principles when choosing a car: First, the road can't go wrong. The second is stable performance and cannot be anchored. The third is to save fuel. Initially, the company did not buy liberation trucks, but heavy trucks produced by a company in Shandong. Longquan is located in the mountains. Road transport is the main mode of transportation. The basic roads to Nanping and Sanming are mountain roads. There are many tunnels and many ramps.

“Although there are expressways to Nanping and Sanming, the charges are relatively high. In order to save costs, many transport vehicles choose to go to the national highway. Among the endless mountains, the expressways still fluctuate, and the speed limit is lower on the national highway. The ramps are more and steeper, and climbing is a big test for vehicle performance.The tractor in the company in Shandong has a good cab, but the engine power is insufficient and the explosive power is not enough. However, when climbing a hill, it was very limited, and it had some impact on the expansion of the company's business,” said Ji Mingdong.

With the passage of time, Ji Mingdong's transportation business is becoming larger and larger, the amount of transportation is increasing, and the requirements for vehicle performance are getting higher and higher. The lack of original vehicles is even more pronounced. Taking a large-sized transport vehicle with a gross weight of more than 70 tons as an example, the standard load of the vehicle is 32 tons, and the actual load is more than 40 tons, which greatly increases the load of vehicles used in the past. There is a city near Longquan called Jianye. Ji Mingdong's driver, who often hears the liberation of J6, said that the fuel consumption is relatively low. The 350-horsepower tractors run the mountain highways more economically than other brands of vehicles with the same configuration. The 420-horsepower tractors are more fuel-efficient. Ji Mingdong took a try and bought two cars. The two cars were equipped with Xichai's 11-liter 420-horsepower engine, Eaton’s 13-speed transmission and the 4.11 speed ratio 485 rear axle. The speed ratio of another brand's tractor is only about 3.7, which is more difficult when the vehicle is heavily loaded, and J6 is much more vigorous when climbing.

Soon, the outstanding performance of the two J6 tractors was reflected. Take Longquan to Nanping, Fujian as an example. For a 300-km journey, heavy trucks of other brands will take 8 hours on one journey, and J6 will save an hour and a half. The average fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is only about 38 liters, which is lower than that of similar models of other brands.

For the transportation of dangerous goods, safety is of utmost importance, especially in mountainous areas where the road conditions are complex and the driver does not dare to overtake the car with insufficient driving force. However, the J6 can ride over the ground on the flat ground and the ramp with an engine speed of 1200. At the time of the transfer/minute, the speed can easily reach 80 kilometers per hour. When the speed is 1500 rpm, the speed can reach 100 kilometers per hour, saving the user time. Ji Mingdong said that one hour earlier than the other driver, even if it was half an hour, he could let his car arrive at the picking point as soon as possible and grab the goods and return it after loading the goods. "With the liberation of J6, you can run 2 or 3 more times in a month. You can earn 5,000 yuan per trip, and you can earn more than 10,000 yuan in a month.
