(Headquarters: Huxi City, Shizuoka City) and Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and established production in Jiangsu Province. The company's battery for hybrid vehicles is the "New Zhongyuan Toyota Motor Energy System Co., Ltd.". The new company was established on November 12, 2013.
The new company will be one of the main components of the "China-made hybrid components" that Toyota Motor Research and Development Center (China) is developing. The production capacity is about 110,000 vehicles per year.
The Chinese-made hybrid components are planned for hybrid vehicles scheduled to be launched in 2015. The new company will build the necessary facilities for assembling batteries and introduce related equipment in the future. The target is to start production in 2015.
The new company is located in Changshu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Jiangsu Province, with a capital of 9.75 million U.S. dollars. The investment ratio is 50% for Changshu Xinzhongyuan Venture Capital, 35% for Toyota, 10% for Primearth EV Energy, and 5% for Toyota Motor (China), with a total investment of US$24.37 million. The number of employees is scheduled to be around 70.
