Electrophoretic coating process conditions include the following four aspects of 13 conditions (parameters):
1 ) The composition of the bath: solids, ash, MEQ and organic solvent content;
2 ) Electrophoresis conditions: bath temperature, bathing voltage, swimming time;
3 ) bath characteristics: PH value, conductivity;
4 ) Electrophoretic properties: curing efficiency, maximum current value, film thickness, and throwing power.

1] Solids (soluble solids content)
Increasing the solid content can increase the viscosity of the electrophoretic fluid, reduce the speed of particle migration, increase the amount of deposition, and increase the electrophoretic efficiency. However, the solid content must not be too high, otherwise the coating is rough and orange peels and other defects are easily generated. When the solids content is too low, the coulomb efficiency of the electrodeposition is low, the resistance of the paint film increases, the voltage increases, the electrolysis reaction of the water increases, the throwing power is low, the film layer is thin, and the change of the paint liquid is large, especially in mass production. Control, prone to pinholes, flower spots, loss of light and other phenomena. During the production process, the solids content keeps declining and should be frequently supplemented to keep it within the specified range.
It is generally characterized using a refractometer to measure the Brix content.
2] pH value
If the pH value is too low, the pulse current density in the electrophoresis tank will decrease, which will cause the template to be partially lacquer-free, which will lead to the formation of a flower face. If the pH value is too high, the wet film will be re-dissolved and the film will be converted into a book, which will affect the coating quality.
3] Conductivity  
The conductivity of the paint is too low, and the paint film is not easy to form; the conductance is too high, causing the paint film to have a rough appearance. For the same coating, the most important factor in the conductance of the paint is the presence of impurity ions in the paint. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the normal value of conductivity by controlling the impurity content.
