Analysis of the Reasons for Low Negative Pressure of Sintering Fan

The low negative pressure of the sintering fan is mainly restricted by two aspects: First, the fan to the sintering machine has a long pipeline and many turns, resulting in an increase in pressure loss. Second, the fan itself has insufficient capacity, resulting in low suction negative pressure and small air volume. The first reason has achieved certain effects in reducing air leakage by modifying the sintering machine trolley and sealing system. For the second reason, the following two options are proposed.

(1) Redesign the fan, the diameter of the impeller is increased from 3500mm to 3700mm, and the fan casing is replaced. The fan speed is still 1000r/min, the shaft power is calculated to be 4600kW, and the 5600kW synchronous motor is used. Finally, the fan negative pressure is increased from the original 10000Pa to 14000Pa, and the flow rate is increased from 12000m3/min to 14500m3/min.

(2) Under the condition that the fan casing and the inlet and outlet pipelines are kept unchanged, the rotor diameter of the fan is changed, the suction negative pressure and air volume are increased, and the newly developed fan rotor is interchanged with the original rotor. This scheme does not need to change the fan machine. Shell body base and motor foundation.

In the first scheme, the basic motor size cannot meet the newly matched motor requirements due to the large increase in motor power. Therefore, the entire fan foundation and motor foundation should be removed to recreate a new motor fan foundation. Increasing the main body of the two-burning fan and increasing the size of the motor are also tense. It is necessary to move other equipment on the site to carry out the transformation. The amount of engineering is considerable and the investment is large. After a lot of comparisons, we decided to adopt the second option.
