New technology for making titanium dioxide from ilmenite ore

Tiomin Resources announced that it has signed an agreement with Multiplex Construction to allow Multiplex to evaluate its TSR patented process. This process is the production of synthetic rutile titanium advanced iron ore. Multiplex is Australia's largest private construction company, evaluating the production technology and financial issues of this large-scale project in Queensland, Australia, one of which is the annual production of 100,000 tons of synthetic rutile.
This patented process developed by Tiomin is used to modify ilmenite ore to make it a high-grade titanium dioxide (ie synthetic rutile) that is used as a raw material for the production of titanium dioxide pigments.
The TSR process uses the latest chemical process technology to produce synthetic rutile, which contains 97% of the titanium dioxide, which is the highest in the market. Most of the world's ilmenite ore can be used to produce this high quality product, which is much better in operation and quality than the current process.
The advantages of the TSR process are:
1. The product is very advanced (in synthetic rutile, the content of titanium dioxide is above 95%).
2. Low energy consumption.
3. The starting cost is competitive.
4. No scrap or non-conforming product.
5, can process different quality of titanium ore raw materials.
Tiomin's TSR process has been patented from various international intellectual property institutions, including Canada, the United States, New Zealand and South Africa. Patent applications are also filed in several Other countries, such as Australia.
Tiomin has completed a feasibility study at the Kwale Advanced Ore Project in Kenya and is currently in the approval phase.
