High-end paper chemicals break foreign monopoly

The reporter learned from the Hangzhou Chemical Research Institute that as of now, the hospital and the Hangzhou Paper Technology Co., Ltd. have developed a highly environmentally friendly surface sizing starch industrialization technology that has been successfully applied in dozens of large-scale paper mills in China.
At present, Hanghua Institute has built 3 10,000-ton production lines with a total production capacity of 40,000 tons. Compared with the conventional manufacturing process, the investment is reduced by 90%, the reaction time is shortened by more than 80%, the energy consumption is reduced by 90%, and the quality is stable. No wastewater is generated. The application equipment breaks the monopoly of foreign technology and realizes on-line continuous application.
Yao Xianping, president of the Hangzhou Institute of Chemical Industry, told reporters that the modern large-scale high-speed paper machine is an important symbol of the national paper industry technology and equipment level. China’s paper production ranks first in the world, and it has a number of the most advanced large-scale high-speed paper machines, each with an annual output of several hundred thousand tons and a speed of 1,000 to 2,000 meters per minute. With such a scale and speed, there is no specific chemical that cannot be achieved at all. Among them, the highest dosage and the most urgent need are environmental protection high surface sizing starches.
In 2001, Hanghua Institute set up a special research group under the guidance of Yao Xianping to tackle the key technology of environmental protection and high retention of sizing starch. In 2002, it successfully developed the first domestically produced new surface sizing starch with high surface area. Products, and built a pilot plant with an annual output of 500 tons; in 2003 built an industrial production plant with an annual output of 5,000 tons, the project was included in the national technological innovation plan; in 2006, the hospital from the product development, process engineering, paper surface continuous The development of application and equipment, the formation of a series of integrated innovation systems such as specialty paper formulas, and the acquisition of three patents for inventions have won the first prize for scientific and technological progress in the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association in 2006.
In the research and development process, Yao Xianping and others have innovatively developed new products with more than double the retention rate of waste paper and broke paper reuse than ordinary products, breaking the monopoly of foreign technology.
