“The energy-saving and environmental protection industry ranks first in the seven strategic emerging industries, involving energy conservation and environmental protection technologies, equipment, products and services, and the future investment will continue to expand.” Xu Jingsheng said, “This year, the country’s investment in energy conservation It has reached 88.3 billion yuan, and it is expected to reach 450 billion yuan during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period."

"In the period of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", China has imposed mandatory provisions on 'desulfurization' and 'dust removal'. During the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, 'Denitrification' will be included in the environmental protection's hard target,' said Xu Jingsheng.
It is reported that as a result of the decline in sulfur dioxide, acid rain in many parts of the country has now turned from nitric acid to nitric acid; at the same time, the increasing number of ammonia nitrogen causing eutrophication in water has also caused frequent occurrence of blue algae in some lakes in China.
According to Xu Jingsheng, the state will include nitrogen oxides in the total control of energy-saving and emission reduction during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, and the essence of controlling nitrogen oxides is “denitrification”. In the future, forced “denitrification” will be implemented like forced “desulfurization”.
"The investment demand here is quite large during the 12th Five-Year Plan and the 13th Five-Year Plan period, each reaching trillions of yuan," said Xu Jingsheng.
The reporter then learned that the denitrification technology currently used by the majority of domestic enterprises is still in the stage of introduction, digestion and absorption, and initial application. Among the listed companies, only Jiulong Power Subsidiary Zhongdiantou Yuanda has built the denitration demonstration project and the first domestic single-million unit Shanghai Shanggaoqiao Third Power Generation Co., Ltd. has established a denitrification project for coal-fired units. In addition, Longjing Environmental has also started to engage in denitrification.
