Wu Jie, director of the Automobile Complaint Department of the China Quality Association User Committee, told reporters that in the third quarter, 1705 cases of user complaints were received, of which complaints on safety issues such as tires and brake systems were prominent, accounting for 13.5%, ranking second only to the engine and Gearbox complaints. “Complaints mainly focus on automotive products with a price of RMB 50,000 to RMB 200,000,†Wu Jie pointed out. The problems reflected in tires mainly include punctured tires, bulging, and cracking. The time spent on car products reflecting tire problems was mostly in 2006.
