At the end of last year, the performance of the plastic machine industry rebounded

According to the latest statistics provided by the National Bureau of Statistics, in the year of 2009, China’s plastics machinery industry staged a tragicomedy.
According to statistics from 521 plastics machinery manufacturing enterprises of the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s plastics machinery manufacturing industry seems to have responded calmly to some industries that have undergone ups and downs in 2009: the total output value was 25.848 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%, and the sales value was 25.085 billion yuan. The year-on-year decrease of 0.18%; export delivery value of 3.646 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 33.91%; new product output value of 3.262 billion yuan, an increase of 8.4%; sales ratio of 97.43%, an increase of 2.65%. In fact, the industry experienced unprecedented twists and turns last year. Due to the international financial crisis and the double impact of India's anti-dumping efforts on China's injection molding machine products, China's plastics machinery industry fell to a low point in March last year. The total industrial output value of the month dropped by 31.33% year-on-year, but rebounded strongly thereafter. As of the end of 2009, the year-on-year growth rates of industrial output value and industrial sales value of the plastics machinery industry rose from -31.33% and 28.2% in March to 79.31% and 84.95% in December respectively.
Su Dongping, the general secretary of the China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, praised the development of the industry in the latter half of last year. Although last year's total output value of plastics machinery manufacturing industry and industrial output value fell slightly year-on-year, but since the fourth quarter, the industry industrial output value, The sales value and the output value of new products have all achieved rapid growth. In particular, the indicators in December have both grown at a rate of more than 20% year-on-year or on a quarter-to-quarter basis. Among them, the output value of new products increased by 170.76% year-on-year in December, and increased by 72.8% from the previous month; the year-on-year growth rate of export delivery value in December had also changed from negative to positive, with a year-on-year increase of 23.15% and a month-on-month increase of 22.73%. The share of domestic equipment in the domestic plastics machinery market rose rapidly from 48.52% in 2008 to 70.52% in 2009.
Su Dongping estimated that this year, per capita plastic consumption in North America will reach 145 kg; the EU per capita plastic consumption will reach 132 kg; and China's per capita plastic consumption will reach 22.8 kg, only about 1/6 of developed countries. In the future, the development potential of China's plastics industry will be huge. It is expected that the growth rate of demand for plastics machinery in China will reach 12% in 2010.

Acids exist universally in our life. There are both numerous kinds of natural ACID compounds with biological functions and massive synthesized acids which are used in many ways.

In industry

Acids are fundamental reagents in treating almost all processes in today's industry. In the chemical industry, acids react in neutralization reactions to produce salts. For example, nitric acid reacts with ammonia to produce ammonium nitrate, a fertilizer. Additionally, carboxylic acids can be esterified with alcohols, to produce esters. Acids are often used to remove rust and other corrosion from metals in a process known as pickling. They may be used as an electrolyte in a wet cell battery, such as sulfuric acid in a car battery.

In food

Many acids can be found in various kinds of food as additives, as they alter their taste and serve as preservatives. Phosphoric acid, for example, is a component of cola drinks. Acetic acid is used in day-to-day life as vinegar. Citric Acid is used as a preservative in sauces and pickles. Certain acids are used as drugs. Acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) is used as a pain killer and for bringing down fevers.

Acid catalysis

Acids are used as catalysts in industrial and organic chemistry; for example, sulfuric acid is used in very large quantities in the alkylation process to produce gasoline. Some acids, such as sulfuric, phosphoric, and hydrochloric acids, also effect dehydration and condensation reactions. In biochemistry, many enzymes employ acid catalysis.
