Shanghai Electric's nuclear power department staff last week said that this year will complete the production and manufacture of the prototype of the wet stator stator pump of the nuclear power station Shidao Bay CAP1400 demonstration nuclear power plant.

Shanghai Electric said that the completion of the CAP1400 wet stator main pump prototype manufacturing is the key task for this year. At present, Shanghai Electric is the only domestic manufacturer of this equipment. The equipment is mainly used in the manufacture of third-generation nuclear power projects and can be applied to nuclear power projects such as Lufeng, which are carrying out preliminary work.

According to the introduction of National Nuclear Power Technology Company, the demonstration power station is located at the Shidao Bay site of Rongcheng, Weihai City, Shandong Province. It is planned to build a third-generation passive nuclear power demonstration unit CAP1400 PWR nuclear power unit with independent intellectual property rights in China, with a design life of 60 years and a stand-alone capacity. 1.4 million kilowatts. The project is one of the 16 major science and technology projects identified by the National "Summary of the Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Science and Technology (2006-2020)."

At present, the preliminary feasibility study documents for demonstration power plants have passed the review and the feasibility study report has been completed. According to the work plan, a work order was issued in January 2013 and the first tank concrete (FCD) was poured on April 30, 2013 and put into operation in 2017.
