Liu Yiping, a staff member who operates the test instrument for testing, said that the change in pm2.5 value is affected by wind direction, air humidity, etc., and the value will change as the environment changes.
“In the vicinity of the long-distance station, the highest value can reach 140.” Liu Yiping said that analyzing the three data, although it is still impossible to calculate the proportion of vehicle exhaust gas to pm2.5, but the data can be compared to prove the vehicle exhaust emissions and pm2 .5 has a great relationship. In the place where the traffic volume is large, the value of pm2.5 is large, while in the closed community, although it is also in the urban area, pm2.5 is much smaller because there are few motor vehicles in the vicinity.
"From this point of view, we also recommend that the public should try to avoid the peak of traffic early and evening, avoiding the intersections and sections where the vehicles are concentrated," Liu Yiping said.

In this regard, the Tianqiao traffic police also conducted an experiment. In the yard of the Tianqiao Traffic Police Brigade, the instrument showed a pm2.5 value of 100, and the instrument was taken to a car that stopped driving but did not turn off, and the value of pm2.5 increased. However, only two or three points have been added. After many tests, this is the result.
“Prove that there is no significant increase in the pm2.5 emissions when the vehicle is idling,” Liu Yiping said.
The experimental results show that the motor vehicle emissions pm2.5 will increase significantly when the throttle is activated. When the traffic police tested a new car, it was found that when stepping on the throttle, the pm2.5 value was as high as 400 and the highest was 500, which had reached a serious level of pollution.
This situation is particularly prominent in old vehicles. When testing a 10-year-old Santana, the pm2.5 was as high as 570, 580 and even reached 700 at the time of stepping on the gas pedal.
When testing a bus that was randomly stopped by the traffic police, it was found that the pm2.5 near the exhaust pipe was as high as 310, which was much higher than the value of the car (200).

In view of this, Liu Yiping suggested that the owner, if driving in the fog, it is best to close the window, turn on the air conditioning cycle or not open the air conditioner.
