Diesel generator overheating and overcooling hazards

First, the danger of generator overheating
a. The operating temperature of the generator is too high, the thermal expansion of the air is too large, the efficiency of the gas charging is reduced, and the power of the generator is reduced.
b. The propensity for pre-ignition and deflagration increases, and parts are damaged early due to additional impact loads.
c. The normal clearance (thermal expansion and contraction) of moving parts is destroyed, the motion is blocked, the wear is aggravated and even damaged.
d. The deterioration of the lubrication condition exacerbates the friction and wear of the parts.
e. The mechanical properties of the parts are reduced, resulting in deformation or damage.
Second, the danger of generator overcooling
a. The mixture (or air) temperature entering the cylinder is too low, the quality of the combustible mixture is poor (poor atomization), ignition is difficult or the combustion is slow, the generator power is decreased, and the fuel consumption is increased (heat loss is more, fuel condensation flow Into the crankcase).
b. The water vapor in the combustion product is easily condensed into water and forms acids with the acid gas, increasing the erosion of the body and parts.
c. Non-vaporized fuel scours and dilutes the oil film on the surfaces of the parts (cylinder walls, pistons, piston rings, etc.) and aggravates part wear.
d. Viscosity of the lubricant increases and fluidity is poor, resulting in poor lubrication, increased machine wear, and increased power consumption.
It can be seen that the normal working temperature of the generator is an important condition for ensuring the good working performance of the generator and its service life.
