Following the announcement of the localization of commercial vehicle tires last year, Goodyear introduced the S800 on October 16, 2013. This is only half a year since its first domestic commercial vehicle tires went on the market, and Goodyear has been quickening the pace of seizing the tire market for commercial vehicles.
The S800 series launched this time is Goodyear 's R&D and manufacturing for the domestic public transportation system. Huang Wei, president of Goodyear China, said that although the time for Goodyear's commercial tires to enter China is relatively short, the annual sales growth is above 100%. It is reported that the production capacity of Goodyear's new Dalian plant is 11 million, including 1 million commercial vehicle tires that were added for the first time.
