In terms of our restaurant, about 200 guests are diners. This is the amount of leftovers left after individual packs.”

A hotel manager assistant at Yunlan Road, who asked not to be named, told reporters that most of the guests did not pack business dinners, official banquets, asking for help, party dinners, and holding weddings. What caused the table to be so wasted? Some consumers interviewed by reporters and catering operators believe that "vanity" has become the culprit of waste.

“Inviting guests to eat is a good face. They are always afraid that guests will not be able to eat enough or eat well. They will have to worry about being treated poorly. They will be embarrassed. They don’t have to worry about others making fun of their jokes. It seems to be plentiful and extravagant if it seems to be welcoming and hospitable, and it doesn't seem to be entertained if you don't have enough food to eat. It's also too embarrassing to be packed in front of you when you're not finished.” said Li Yanling, the citizen, as a guest. One side also feels bad about money, but there is no way. Seeing that there were so many dishes left over from the table, she also laughed and asked the waiter to say "not enough, plus a few more dishes," and my heart was particularly uncomfortable and entangled.

The private face is a good face, and the "face" of public money consumption is even greater. A lobby manager of an upscale hotel told reporters that ordinary business meals and public money consumption do not have their own pockets. Therefore, they lavish on their a la carte dishes. “This kind of consumption is in order to be laid out in a lavish manner. Dishes are higher than private treats themselves and are less likely to be packaged. Therefore, waste is more serious.”

The waste on the table is not only ignored by many people, but it even becomes a must for a festive atmosphere.
