Lifting machinery will welcome new development in 2014

In 2013, the prosperity of construction machinery industry has been in a cold state. Affected by the macro-control of domestic real estate and monetary tightening policies, the expectations of the major manufacturers for the recovery of the industry and the increase in investment return rate are still low, and the market demand is relatively low. Both manufacturers and agents have insufficient confidence. In 2013, the only small peak in lifting machinery appeared in October. In the fourth quarter, the external investment environment was stable, and real estate and infrastructure continued to decline.

China's construction crane industry is experiencing an extraordinary stage of development. While the entire industry is experiencing rapid growth and abrupt declines, it also bears the test of fierce international and domestic competition and the challenges of the financial crisis.

As a key year for implementing the objectives of the 12th Five-Year Plan, the country’s economic development is in an important strategic opportunity period in 2013. Regarding the related technology of the cranes, this National Science and Technology Progress Award was taken as an example. Among them, Zoomlion’s “Key Technology and Application of Extra Large Tower Cranes” project was awarded the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. It is reported that this project has broken through the technical bottlenecks of a number of ultra-large tower cranes, greatly promoted the level of bridge construction in China, and formed a complete set of technology with independent intellectual property rights, achieving large-scale production of ultra-large tower cranes and breaking foreign brands. The monopoly is of great significance to the country’s economic development. At the same time, the “Key Technology and Application of Large-tonnage Series Crawler Cranes” declared by Sany Heavy Industry also won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

From a macro perspective, in 2014, the railway investment will focus on the Midwest and intercity railways, and the funds will be gradually guaranteed; the total road investment will remain low, but the western region will still be the focus of investment; nuclear power will have a warming trend and be separated from the target. The value difference is far, and there is more room for investment growth in the next two years; investment opportunities in public services appear and can be properly addressed. As the domestic economic environment and the downstream industry have generally stabilized, it is expected that the fundamentals of the construction machinery industry will improve slightly in 2014, but it is difficult to see significant improvement. In 2014, it will face an economic environment with slower growth and a more differentiated structure. Fixed investment will show a trend of low and high growth.

In 2014, under the favorable macro conditions, lifting machinery is actively technologically innovative, ready to go, or will usher in new developments. China has become the world's most important market for construction machinery. With the continuous standardization of the domestic market, China's cranes will surely have greater development.
