According to the statistics from the China Automobile Association, from January to July this year, the production and sales of passenger cars in China were 2,969,800 and 2,848,000, an increase of 36.20% and 32.14% year-on-year; the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 1,165,700 and 115. 81,800 units, an increase of 7.76% and 8.43%.
Due to entering the traditional off-season, the decline in automobile production and sales in July was more significant than that in the previous month. It produced 498,700 vehicles, a decrease of 12.99% from the previous month and an increase of 12.09% year-on-year; sales of 467,100 vehicles, a decrease of 16.12% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 7.83%.
The top ten automobile manufacturers that accounted for 83.49% of China’s total automobile sales sold a total of 3.3447 million vehicles in July this year. The ten companies were in sequence: SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, Chang’an, BAIC, Chery, Hafei, Guangzhou Automobile, Geely and Brilliance. (Finish)
