On April 21st, Evonik Industrial Group laid the foundation for the hydrogen peroxide plant in Jilin Province. The plant is scheduled to be put into production in the fourth quarter of 2013, and the annual output will reach 230,000 tons, which will enable Evonik's global hydrogen peroxide production capacity to increase by 40% on the basis of the current 600,000 tons. Evonik Industries recently established ESCO Specialty Chemicals (Jilin) ​​Co., Ltd. (ESCJ), which is responsible for the operation of the plant. Evonik will supply hydrogen peroxide directly to the propylene oxide plant operated by Jishen Chemical Co., Ltd. through the pipeline.
