According to the latest data, in the first half of 2010, China exported 15.142 million car tires to the United States, a year-on-year decrease of 24%; and export delivery value was 477 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 24.6%. Among them, the exports in May were 2.754 million, and the export delivery value was 90.769 million U.S. dollars; the exports in June were 3.136 million and the export delivery value was 103 million U.S. dollars.

Chang Yingzhi, a research fellow in the chemical industry of China Investment Advisors, pointed out that due to the impact of the US tire special protection case, the volume of tires exported to the United States in the first half of this year has been falling, but the export volume of tires to the United States began in May and June. increase. Chang Yongzhi believes that from the current situation, it is expected that the situation of China's tire exports to the United States will change in the second half of this year.

On the one hand, a few days ago, the US International Trade Tribunal ruled on the Sino-American tire case and determined that the US Department of Commerce improperly imposed anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese tires and demanded that the Ministry of Commerce should abandon anti-subsidy duties. Although the U.S. Department of Commerce or other parties will likely appeal the decision, the Chinese attorney, Daniel Porter, pointed out that the U.S. Department of Commerce also considers China as a market economy country and a non-market economy country. This flaw makes The U.S. Department of Commerce is clearly at a disadvantage. Therefore, the countervailing duty imposed by the United States on China's tires will likely be cancelled. Chang Yongzhi believes that if the United States withdraws the countervailing duty on Chinese tires, this is a big plus for China's tire exports.

On the other hand, from May and June of this year, according to China's export of American car tyres, in May, China exported 2.754 million car tyres to the United States, which was an increase of 9.9% from the previous month; exported 3.136 million pieces in June, respectively. Increased by 13.9%. At this time, the US tire market was in a destocking state. This shows that China's tires still have a market in the United States with high inventory. Therefore, Chang Yongzhi believes that although China’s tire exports to the United States have dropped, there is still a certain amount of room for demand in the United States.

In addition, Chang Zhizhi also pointed out that due to the financial crisis, China's tire manufacturing companies are now actively adjusting the structure of export products and exporting tires with high added value, which is also conducive to the export of China's tires. Moreover, due to the tire special protection case in September 2009, since the second half of last year, China's export of tires to the United States has been less. Chang Yongzhi believes that because of the relatively low base, it will also likely cause changes in China's tire exports to the United States in the second half of this year.
