China's first deep sea exploration vessel launched in Dalian

The first deep-sea geophysical exploration ship in China was successfully launched at the Liaonan Shipyard on September 7. This geophysical vessel that fills the blank of China's ocean-going exploration vessel construction is an OBC source vessel built for Eastern Geophysical Exploration Co., Ltd., named "Oriental Exploration No.1".

The ship has a length of 65.82 meters, a width of 13.8 meters and a displacement of about 2,140 tons. The ship is equipped with a helicopter lifting platform. The maximum retractable submarine cable has a water depth of 200 meters and a submarine cable can be up to 30 kilometers. The ship has a very high technical content and all geophysical equipment is imported from abroad.
